And the dress hunt is over...

Today me, mom, and trace spent the day with matts mom and sister trying on wedding dresses. She found her perfect dress:) but you will have to wait until March 12, 2011 to see it!

It's SUMMERTIME:)

It is so nice to have the summers off. I have gotten so much done and it hasn;t even been a full week! So I decided to wrap up how the last day of school went and a list of things that I will be doing this summer.

The Last day of school- I was determined that I wouldnt get upset and it would be no big deal. Think again lol. the fifth graders were all bawling as they did their farewell walk and then teachers started losing it including me and then kindergarteners saw their teachers crying and started to cry lol I am sure if someone had seen this episode in the middle ofthe hallway at Hobbs they would have busted out laughing. So i was trying to get control after saying by to my bus students but one by one as they let it got worse. Through all the ups and downs of this year I will miss those little ones:)

SUMMER
1. camping- in our new tent!
2. Brad paisley concert- umm yes please!
3. Visiting both grandparents
4. Helping my sister plan her wedding- march 12th, 2011
5. ETBU friends coming to visit
6. visiting les and garret in CS
7. going to SHulenburg to visit chrissy and nathan
8. Maybe taking a weekend vaca
9. lounging in my pajamas
10. Finishing up the house- it is getting close!

Our ONE YEAR Anniversary!

It is so crazy to think that me and derek have already been married a year. I remember may 30, 2009 like it was yesterday. I remember planning all the details, getting ready with the most important girls in my life, I remember holding dereks hand behind the door so he wouldn't see me. But the most memorable thing to me was the way I felt that day. I will never forget the calmness i felt. It was like I was in this perfect movie and nothing could go wrong. Our wedding was perfect:) Flash foreward a year and we have learned so much. We bought a puppy, fixed up an apartment, went on a trip to shreveport with the johnsons, watched soo many friends join the married club, and sooo much more. I love waking up to derek wach day and taking on new challenges side by side, he is my soulmate and i thank God everyday for sending him my way.

For our anniversay we decided our backyard needed a patio table set. We got a grill from his parents and my mom gave us these BEAUTIFUL lamps that I have been drooling over for about a month now. Derek made reservations at III Forks in dallas. YUM! It was so fancy and a night we will definately never forget. After dinner we followed tradition and busted out our wedding cake- which was still delicious, and watched our wedding video. I love you derek happy anniversary!

Our Best Friends got MARRIED:)

On may 29th I got to get all dolled up to watch my best friend get married. Leslie and Garret are such a huge part of me and derek's lives, I honestly can't picture not being such a close group. In high School we were so blessed to have friends in the same chapter of life that understood us so well. Hanging out with them is soo fun:) So watching my best friend walk down the aisle to a man that I know loves her soooo much made me so very happy. My favorite part of the wedding was about a minute into the song and garret turns to leslie and says "we are getting married" the look on his face was priceless- they were both so happy!
